#3: Team Sponsor: PSP Logistics - our team has an official name

As each boat in the Clipper fleet has an own team sponsor, my team-mates and I were eagerly waiting for our team sponsor to be revealed. Some teams were already announced during the crew allocation, but my team, Team Max for the time being, still had to wait. Now, the long waiting has come to an end.

Clipper revealed that the Hampshire based worldwide logistics company PSP Logistics would be our team sponsor. PSP Logistics is one of the leading freight forwarders and international boat transportation specialists. Interestingly, the company uses their expertise in maritime logistics to offer related logistics services to other markets, from oil and gas to architecture and from exhibitions to wind turbines. Frank Dixie, Founder and Managing Director of PSP, said: “Being a Team Sponsor in the Clipper 2013-14 Race proved to be an amazing opportunity to continue to build our profile on a global platform while supporting something very important to us, so we’re really pleased to be returning as a Team Sponsor for the tenth edition of the race.” He went on: “Similar to our golden rules for transporting boats, I’d urge the team to be fast, efficient and most of all, safe.” Our team shares those goals as we, too, seek to set safety as first priority in general, work efficiently as team and still compete eagerly against the other 11 yachts for the first place.

Personally, I am very happy with PSP Logistics as our team sponsor, as it is a family driven company in the British "Mittelstand" and to a certain extend possibly interesting for me after the race. Therefore, I am looking forward to sail under PSP’s support and learn more about the company during the race.
