#28: Half way around the world

On February 14th we were half way round the world in time. After five and a half months it is a good point in time to look back at the first half of the race. Many things have happened since we left London at the end of August 2015. We have spent around 120 days at sea, covered more than 25,000nm, stopped in six very diverse cities, had more than 30 crew on our boat, saw numerous wildlife and shooting stars, sweated in the heat below and on deck, froze during the dark and wet nights, met amazing people on land and at sea, learned a lot about sailing and I personally a lot about myself and persons in general… and many more things…. but I can definitely say that joining the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race has been one of the best things I have so far done in my life and I am very much looking forward to the next five and a half months, which lie ahead. At this point I would also like to especially thank my parents and my brother, Julius, for their support in realising this dream!
